A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and participated in the 7th Annual Lexington-Bluegrass Pagan Pride Festival. It was quite an event this year! We had well over twenty vendors with a varity of wares, services, and information. There were many volunteers to help out throughout the day. The workshops and rituals were well attended and received, and the drumming and entertainment were enjoyable. Not to mention that we raised 120 pounds of food for the Catholic Action Center!
Of course, our main goal is to raise awareness and acceptance of paganism in the community, and there was a lot of success with that as well this year. Channel 36 News presented a segment about our event on their news. There was also an article about us in the Lexington Herald-Leader. We saw many unknown faces amongst our old friends at the event, and quite a few of them were somewhat unfamiliar with and/or completely new to paganism.
So once again, thank you to everyone who made this year's event such a success, and we hope to see you once more come September 2014!
